What is All Star Cheer?
All Star cheer is a sport that combines tumbling, dance, stunts and jumps. Teams consist of 6 to 36 athletes that train a 2½- minute routines set to music. They compete 5- 7 times a year striving to be the best of the best. All Star teams are competitive and do not perform for any team sports. The competition season start in November and lasts until the first week of May.
Competitive cheerleading is an activity that is great for both boys and girls. It is a great way for children and young people to improve fitness and coordination. It is also a great environment for developing confidence,self esteem, developing positive life skills, personal values, sportsmanship,teamwork and more.
In competitive cheer, teams are set up by age group, tumbling skill levels and athletic ability. The age groups offered are: Tiny’s (4-6), Mini’s (8 and under), Youth (11 and under) , Junior (14 and under) and Senior (14-18). Teams also compete at skill levels ranging from Level 1 for beginners and up to levels 5 & 6 for athletes with advanced skills. Our training program is designed to help athletes develop their skills physically/mentally and move to higher levels as they grow in the sport.
